Madhavi is a chartered accountant (FCMA) and business consultant whose professional career, spanning over 4 decades, includes senior finance roles within FMCG, Defence, International Public sector, Publishing , Financial Services and the Charity sector. She is currently finance director of FII Ltd and a consultant working with NATO.
She is a qualified child and adolescent psychotherapist ( MEd/MBACP) working within schools and with refugee organisations.
Madhavi’s passion is working with the charity sector, with a focus on women and children from disadvantaged or deprived communities with a view to education led transformation. This has resulted in a parallel career, outside the ‘day job’, for over 15 years.
She has led teams of student volunteers to teach in rural impoverished areas in India, helped to establish the Lifelines International Fund, and has worked with charities like Sense International on fund raising and awareness initiatives. She volunteers at the Refugee Council was Parent Mentor for Action for Children, and led Children’s Sunday school (Bal Vihar) for a Hindu value based charitable organisation ( Chinmaya Mission UK) for over 10 years.
Madhavi was on the Board of Sense Romania, is Deputy CEO of Lifelines Fund and on the Committee of Chinmaya Mission France. She is on the Finance and Governance Committee of the (British Association of Counselling Psychotherapists) and was on the panel of ‘Women taking Action’ (Action for Children)
